3 B2B Brands Killing It Right Now

Often, in the marketing world, we turn to our peers for ‘inspiration’. Anything to aid creativity is a bonus, whilst copycatting is definitely a no-no.

In the spirit of inspiration, we wanted to bring to your attention 3 B2B brands that are absolutely smashing their marketing right now and de-construct their campaigns just a little bit.

Buckle in, it’s going to be a fun one 👇

Adobe

In one of their latest adverts, Adobe has managed to be a relatable and trusted partner to working parents worldwide.

Featuring a stressed-out Dad working from home and an enthusiastic toddler, they showcase Adobe Acrobat's benefits in just under thirty seconds!

The success of this campaign comes down to knowing your customer. It’s not just about understanding the basic demographics of who you’re going after (age, gender, job type). You find success by understanding how your product or service fits into their lives.

People don’t buy a £1000 rug, to cover up their floors right? It fits into their lives/lifestyles in a particular way that pushes them to purchase.

Hubspot

Besides becoming the internet's go-to 'wikiHow' for marketing, Hubspot's 360 offering makes it an attractive product for marketers around the world. But they don't rest on their laurels! Their marketing is here to stay and they do a pretty good job of it.

Hubspot's approach to social media really personalised an otherwise quite faceless and boring brand. By starting conversations online with users, the brand makes potential customers feel heard and also helps to gather lots of social listening data too.

Hubspot proves, through their social media accounts, that B2B marketing is still all about people. Personal relationships make business happen, faceless companies don’t!

Remember that, the next time you hesitate to put yourself and your business out there.

Slack

A communication tool needs good communication through marketing, right?

Slack absolutely nail every single feeling we have about working in a busy office (just like its core customer base).

The story here is all about humour winning the day. There’s nothing like an excellent funny proposition to cut through the noise online and offline. Slack understands its audience and humour is an excellent way to get them onside.

The 'so yeah, we tried Slack' advert is perhaps the best B2B ad ever made!

Watch it and have a good giggle 👇

Slack, Hubspot and Adobe teach us some very important lessons from their recent campaigns.

  1. Know your audience
  2. Get personal
  3. Don’t be afraid to throw some humour in
